I have tried to apply to ChaCha again to become an Expeditor (a paid position sorting questions, different from a Guide who actually answers questions and earns more), and I got a message that said, “We are not accepting new Guide roles at the time.”

Well, this is better than telling people that they have not passed the screening test. I had “failed” the test earlier, together with many other folks, and some suggested that perhaps ChaCha automatically tells applicants that they’ve failed when they do not need new guides. Of course, we still do not know for sure, but it looks like that was the case. I am no genius, but I don’t think my writing skills are below the standard required to work for ChaCha sorting or answering short questions.
