What if you don’t want to write about stock market?
Those who have tried to earn money writing content know that there are popular subjects that always sell and draw a lot of traffic. In my case, those are exactly the subjects I do not care for or do not have much to say about: stock market, finances, insurance, real estate, etc. Technology related topics are in demand as well, and I am no computer whiz, I’m just a user who knows little about megabytes and motherboards.
If you are like me, there are two things you can do: you can research the unfamiliar subjects or you can write about what you know. Most of the time, I prefer the latter, leaving stock market articles to stock market experts. Sure, I will not earn as much writing about pets, books, or cosmetics, but those topics have audience as well, so I can write much more plus save myself a lot of headache.

Agree totally. I learned the hard way that I’d make myself constantly unhappy if I tried to write about the big money-earning topics. One reason for doing freelance writing is so that you don’t have to work at a job you hate. Turning your writing into something you hate isn’t much of an improvement.
